Volcanoes National Park to the north west of Rwanda is the single destination that acts as the fountain of the mountain gorilla trekking in Rwanda. The Park features 10 habituated gorilla families whose tracking depart at the same point – Kinigi. The park is part of the greater Virunga Massif that is a home to 480 mountain gorillas straddling to the borders of three countries Uganda, Rwanda and Congo.
